TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE BEAUTY SALON
Regulations for the provision of cosmetic treatments and services
§ 1
General provisions
These Rules and Regulations of the Salon, hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”, set forth the rules for the use of cosmetic services provided at Slavic Beauty, which is located at Rautistrasse 373, 8048 Zurich and has a website at slavicbeauty.ch, hereinafter referred to as the “Salon”.
Customers of the Salon are required to read the Terms and Conditions before proceeding with any cosmetic treatment, hereinafter referred to as “Treatment” or cosmetic service, hereinafter referred to as “Service”.
Whenever the Terms and Conditions refer to Services or Treatments, it shall mean all services or treatments provided by the Salon’s employees to Clients at the Salon’s premises.
The use of any Service or Treatment at this Salon is tantamount to acceptance of the provisions of the Regulations. Each Client is obliged to comply directly with its provisions from the moment of giving informed consent to a Treatment or Service until its/their completion.
These Terms and Conditions are not regulations for the provision of services by electronic means within the meaning of the Act on the Provision of Electronic Services and apply only to services provided in stationary establishments.
§ 2
Customers
Any natural person of legal age may be a client of the Salon.
The Salon allows the use of Services and Treatments by minors, over 13 years of age, with the express consent of their parents, guardian or legal representative.
The consent of the parent, guardian or legal representative must be expressed at the place where the Treatment or Service is performed, by signing the appropriate document. Then – after such consent has been given – the minor may be independently present in the Salon during the performance of the Treatment or Service.
A Salon Employee is entitled to request the consent mentioned in § 2 point 2 if a minor wants to use the Salon’s offer. If such consent is not received, the Salon Employee may refuse to perform the Treatment or Service offered at Slavic Beauty.
§ 3
Work standards of Salon Employees
Employees of the Salon are properly trained to work in the position they occupy. Thus, they have all required certificates, approvals and permits to work in this capacity.
A Salon Employee, before starting a Treatment or Service, is obliged to check the hygiene and equipment condition of his workstation. At the same time he is obliged to have an adequate supply of hygienic, disposable and protective materials and sterilized tools.
The employee, before starting the Treatment or Service, is required to disinfect his hands and forearms up to elbow height, as well as the entire workstation and reusable tools. The same actions are performed by the employee during the Treatment or Service, if he interrupts its continuity, and after their completion.
Salon employees are required to keep their hands and nails in such condition as to minimize the risk of scratches and cuts.
Salon employees are required to secure their hair in such a way as to minimize the risk of it entering the area where the Treatment or Service is being performed.
Employees of the Salon are required to comply with Health and Safety regulations and fire safety regulations.
Customers should immediately report any deviation from the above rules to the owner, manager or other member of the Salon staff who is on duty at the time.
§ 4
Hygiene and safety
Flat surfaces and other items of Salon equipment with which the Client does not come into direct contact during a Treatment or Service are disinfected or sterilized at least once a day.
Salon employees are required to perform regular health examinations in order to eliminate any diseases, infections, conditions and ailments that could expose Clients to harm or transfer to Clients.
Salon employees with open wounds and cuts or oozing skin lesions that cannot be properly protected from contact with the Client’s body are excluded from providing cosmetic services until the above deviations are completely corrected.
If the Client is injured during a Treatment or Service, the Treatment is immediately discontinued. The injured area is then immediately washed, disinfected and secured with a sterile dressing appropriate to the severity of the injury. Interrupted treatment is completed at the Client’s convenience, at no additional charge, by prior appointment and only after complete healing.
Only disinfectants approved for use in a cosmetic salon are used in the Salon.
§ 5
Provision of cosmetic services
Cosmetic Services and Treatments are provided during salon working hours.
Before proceeding to the Treatment, the Employee conducts an interview with the Client in order to determine whether the Client’s health condition, past or present illnesses, as well as lifestyle do not constitute contraindications to the Treatment or do not pose a risk of side effects, and in order to determine post-treatment recommendations.
The provision of personal data by Customers on surveys, customer cards or in the loyalty program is tantamount to consent to the processing of data by Slavic Beauty, headquartered at Rautistrasse 373, 8048 Zurich, in accordance with the provisions of the nFADP Personal Data Protection Act of September 01, 2023. Each Client must be acquainted – by a Salon Employee – with the contraindications, side effects and post-treatment recommendations of each Treatment or Service performed on him/her. At the same time, the Client, by entering the Treatment, agrees to it and is fully aware of the above-mentioned factors, accepting them.
In the case of the most serious Treatments and complications, the Salon Employee has the right to collect a written confirmation giving consent to the Treatment. At the same time, he may also refuse to perform the Treatment in the absence of the Client’s willingness to make such a statement.
Clients, prior to the start of the Treatment or Service, are required to disclose to the Employee of any ailments and contraindications that may affect the course of these activities. In particular, but not limited to, about: heart disease, use of a pacemaker, cancer, inflammatory conditions in the acute phase, history of hepatitis and other infectious diseases, pregnancy or the postpartum period, prostheses or IUDs (e.g., intrauterine devices) implanted in their body, taking medications that reduce blood clotting, and unusual reactions to the sight of blood or interrupted continuity of body tissues.
The Client declares that he will take into account his health condition before participating in the Treatments and will not proceed with them if, due to his health condition, they could affect his life, health, physical or mental comfort.
Whenever a Treatment or Service is not performed in a series in which the interval between consecutive Treatments is a maximum of 7 days, or before the start of the next series that follows a period of more than 14 days, the Client should confirm the validity of the interview and information provided.
The Client is obliged not to have any jewelry during the Treatment or Service. Any valuables should be kept by the Client at his/her responsibility.
Clients are obliged to immediately inform the Salon Employee of any deterioration of their well-being during the Treatment or Service.
In case of doubts about the safety of carrying out the Treatment, the Employee may refuse to carry out the Treatment.
The Employee also has the right to refuse to carry out the Treatment if he/she has doubts that the Client is not planning to defraud the Treatment or Service, and if he/she finds that the Client is under the influence of alcohol or intoxicants.
§ 6
Payment
The Client is obliged to pay for the cosmetic services performed in accordance with the current Price List of Treatments and Services. The Price List is available in physical form in the Salon and available online at: slavicbeauty.ch and on social media profiles on Instagram, Facebook
The Salon accepts the following methods of payment for the Service, Treatment or products: payment in cash, payment TWINT
The Salon reserves the right to introduce temporary promotions, vouchers or treatment packages. The rules regarding their purchase and duration, will be regulated in separate regulations.
The Salon also offers Treatment Package, paid in advance, entitling to use a certain number of Treatments at a certain time.
§ 7
Liability
Customers of the Salon are responsible without limitation for any damage to equipment located in Slavic Beauty. Damage caused by minors (including those receiving the Treatments or the Services) is the responsibility of their legal guardian.
The Salon is liable for improper performance of the Treatment or Service by its Employees.
Failure of the Client to comply with the provisions of the Regulations or making false statements about his/her health condition and contraindications or in the interview, or failure to comply with post-treatment recommendations, shall result in the exclusion of liability for the performed Treatment or Service on the part of the Salon.
The Salon shall not be responsible for the Client’s dissatisfaction with the final result of the Treatment or Service resulting from the Client’s subjective feelings, if it was performed in a professional manner, in accordance with the art of cosmetology and in a manner that does not deviate from generally accepted standards.
Subject to the provisions of applicable law, the owner and Employees and Subcontractors shall not be liable for injuries, loss of health in the Salon as a result of its use, unless they are at fault.
§ 8
Client’s property left in the Salon
A place designated by the Salon is at the disposal of the Clients where the Client may leave his/her belongings (property) during the Treatment or Service.
Before leaving the Salon, the Client is obliged to take all his/her belongings, including his/her belongings left in the designated place for the duration of the Treatment or Service.
It is recommended not to store items of significant value in the Salon’s designated storage area.
The Salon is not responsible for any items left outside the places designated for leaving them, especially valuables (including but not limited to bags, backpacks and purses), which the Client should keep with him/her.
§ 9
Reservations
A client can schedule a Treatment or Service at the Salon by calling/emailing/messaging via social media such as Instagram, Facebook or apps such as Treatwell. The reservation is only valid if confirmed by the Salon via written message.
If the client intends to cancel the appointment, it’s necessary to inform the Salon at least 24 hours before the appointment.
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to the Salon, which offers a space to calm down and enjoy refreshments during this time.
If a client is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, we are able to perform the Treatment or Service at the client’s request, which will, however, take place with the exclusion of individual stages (except for stages that have a specific minimum duration). In such a situation, the price for the Treatment or Service will be the regular price in accordance with the Salon’s price list.
If a Treatment or Service is delayed for reasons attributable to the Salon, including the Employee, none of the stages will be shortened.
The Salon reserves the right to cancel the date of the Treatment or Service 24 hours before the date. The Salon will simultaneously arrange a new date for the Treatment or Service with the Client.
Priority for the date of the Treatment is given to Clients who have made a reservation.
If the client is medically indisposed – especially against the background of a contagious disease – then the client is obliged to cancel the pre-booked appointment in order to take care of the common comfort of the Salon Employees and other clients.
The Salon recommends visiting the Salon without accompanying persons.
§ 10
Complaints
The Client has the right to file a complaint about the manner of performance of the Treatment and Service (or their effects) within 48 hours of its performance or the occurrence of undesirable effects of the Treatment or Service.
In order to file a complaint, it is necessary to prove, in any form, the performance of the Treatment or Service happened at the Salon, and to present full photographic documentation, or any other form of evidence, related to the matter submitted.
Submission of a complaint by the Client may be made by e-mail, by registered mail sent to the address of the Salon, or by personal appearance at the Salon with a document in writing. In each of these cases, it is necessary to attach the documents and information indicated in § 10 item 2.
Failure to document the claim in accordance with the necessary documents indicated in § 10.2 will result in rejection by the Salon.
The Salon reserves the right to consider the submitted complaint within 14 days.
If the complaint is accepted, the Salon will refund the price of the Treatment or Service to the Client and allow the Client to receive a free corrective Treatment or Service. The Salon may offer additional benefits as compensation.
If a complaint is denied, the Client has the right to appeal the decision within 14 days. In the appeal procedure, the above provisions shall apply accordingly.
If the Treatment or Service is disputed immediately after it is performed, the Client is not relieved of payment for the service performed. In the event that his demands are legitimate, any refund will be made in full. However, the Salon reserves the right to exempt the Client from payment in case of obviously legitimate grounds for complaint.
§ 11
Gift vouchers
The Salon sells gift coupons – vouchers.
Gift vouchers are amount coupons that can be used: only and exclusively for Treatments and Services in the Salon.
Gift vouchers have a specific expiration date – 3 months from the date of purchase. Only in exceptional situations may this be changed, at the express request of the Kilent.
Gift Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash.
§ 12
Other provisions
Smoking and the use of tobacco and nicotine products, including electronic cigarettes, are strictly prohibited throughout the Salon, as well as the consumption of alcoholic beverages and other stimulants and intoxicants.
It is forbidden to bring animals into the Salon area.
§ 13
Final provisions
Each Client has the right to inspect the regulations, price list and certificates referred to by the Salon or Employees.
The Salon has the right to make free changes to the price list, especially in terms of introducing appropriate discounts and rebates for Customers.
All persons on the premises of Salon are obliged to observe these rules and regulations and follow the suggestions of the employees.
The salon reserves the right to amend the regulations. New provisions are binding from the moment they are published in the Salon. The previous provisions shall apply to reservations and Treatments and Services performed before the change.
Any disputes arising from cosmetic services provided should be resolved amicably in the first instance.
These regulations are effective as of 01.01.2025.
